New Journal, New Life.

Back during my hardcore LiveJournal days, when I had almost 100 friends, most of whom I did not know, and spent hours on end surfing through communities and editing my layout, I would make new journals when something significant happened. A breakup with a boyfriend, or.... well, usually just a breakup with a boyfriend. I went through various usernames, most of which seem utterly ridiculous to me now: seduce__me, the___enemy, and finally, anjelicapaz___. For some reason, I felt the need to use multiple underscores in each one. "seduce__me" I'm pretty sure was made in a failed attempt to be funny, "the___enemy" probably had something to do with Invader Zim, and "anjelicapaz___" was my entrance into more mature internet aliases, yet I still couldn't let go of the use of that damned underscore. Now, in ascent into new online journal territory, I choose the more mature first name and middle name to serve as my identity... minus the underscores.

So, new journal = new life, or at least a breakup with a boyfriend? No, not this time. My life is undoubtedly not much different, and I've been single for four months to the day. I simply start fresh, without the burden of past entries that made me look like an idiot. I also kind of wanted to do something a little different, but this blog probably won't turn out any different from my last LiveJournal or my first Xanga or my first and second DiaryLand back in junior high. These will be the same ramblings I've always written, in an attempt to seem important and honest to readers, whose identities are likely to remain anonymous throughout the course of this blog's active life. But I do have this far-fetched fantasy that this blog will blow up in popularity, and I will have complete strangers reading this, utterly intrigued by my interesting, should-have-been-made-for-TV life. Haha.. ok.

It is now a little over four hours before I have to wake up for work, I am scratching my scalp, because I need to wash my hair, and Miss Philippines of San Diego County is snoring next to me. Goodnight.

And so, this is the beginning.

I choose to open with a quote.

"sex makes everything complicated. even not having the sex makes it complicated."
"that's why it's usually better to have the sex."

and such will be the epitome of this blog.
